Dr. Ryan Lee is a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, with a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Fairfield University. Dr. Lee specializes in the treatment of addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions. He has over 7 years of professional experience in
healthcare, in both clinical and leadership positions, and across the entire continuum of care,
from outpatient clinics, intensive-outpatient, partial hospitalization, and residential treatment programs, in addition to acute care inpatient units, inpatient detoxification centers, and psychiatric emergency departments. Most recently, Dr. Lee served as the Director of Psychiatric Services at a local addiction treatment facility.
In addition to his board-certification in psychiatry, Dr. Lee has also obtained advancedcertification in addiction medicine, as well as training in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy (EMDR). Dr. Lee completed his doctoral research on the use of eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy (EMDR) as a novel approach to addiction treatment. Dr. Lee is a member of the International Society on Addictions Nursing and has advocated for the expansion of addiction services at the federal level in light of the opioid epidemic.
As a holistic psychiatric provider, Dr. Lee takes a person-centered, trauma-informed approach that takes into account not only the biological and psychological, but also social and spiritual components of healing. Further, Dr. Lee is currently in the process of become a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner and a Diplomate of American Clinical Board of Nutrition. Dr. Olivia Lee is a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. She has previous experience working in a community-based mental health clinic, as well as at partial hospitalization and residential treatment centers. She holds two Bachelor’s degrees in Nursing and in English, as well as a Doctoral degree in Nursing, all from Fairfield University. As a psychiatric provider, Olivia has a strong passion for working with patients struggling with depression, anxiety and eating disorders. She has completed extensive research, including the use of mindfulness-based group work in the treatment of disordered eating and promotion of positive body image. Olivia is a member of the American Academy of Eating Disorder’s Advocacy and Communications Committee and serves as a freelance writer for various publications, aiming to promote eating disorder policy and awareness.
